Health Ministry
The Calvary Health Ministry promotes the well-being of individuals and families. When people are well, they are better able to fulfill God's calling for their lives. It is important to remember that wellness is not dependent on the absence of pain or illness.
Activities of the Health Ministry include blood pressure screening, blood drives, health education, and information on advanced directives.
BeFrienders
BeFriender is a lay caring ministry program, which expands the pastoral care extended by the church. BeFrienders are specially trained lay persons who enter into caring relationships with others at times of special need. They are caring companions offering emotional and spiritual support, bringing with them the caring presence of God and the community. For more information about being a BeFriender or having a BeFriender connected with you, please contact Pastor Annette Langdon, 763.231.2955 or eMail alangdon@calvary.org.

Faith Walking
If you're looking for a place to walk, think about walking at Calvary! You can walk around the building on one level or up and down the stairs for a power workout. Add some prayer and scripture to make it faith walking!
Check in with the receptionist before you begin and borrow a pedometer and a map. Stop in the Prayer Room for scripture or a prayer to use as you walk. Come as early as 7:00 a.m. and as late as 9:00 p.m.
Hospitalization
If you are ill, or know someone who is ill . . .
Hospitals are no longer notifying churches when their members are admitted for care. Please call the church office, 763.545.5659, and let us know so that Calvary can support you with prayer and with presence.
Prayer Shawl Ministry
Loving hearts and hands make up the Prayer Shawl ministry. The knitter or crocheter prays for the recipient as her needles create a soft shawl that brings physical warmth and spiritual comfort. The prayer shawl is given to someone who is in crisis or who suffers in body, mind or spirit. It's an embrace of prayer that serves as a tangible reminder of God's constant love and presence that can bring healing to the heart.
Those who create the prayer shawls gather three times a year for fellowship and inspiration. For more information, please call Judy (763.588.4419) or Linda (763.545.7313).
