About 40 Days of Community

We were never meant to live out God’s purposes in solitude. 40 Days of Community by Rick Warren (author of The Purpose-driven Life) will help us move toward spiritual maturity and a meaningful life on earth, revealing how God uses people for our good and growth.

Why is Calvary doing 40 Days of Community?

40 Days of Community will help us learn more about “Connect,” one of several spiritual steps that are essential to experiencing a growing relationship with Jesus Christ. By taking the spiritual step to connect, we not only enjoy an ever deepening relationship with God, but also form meaningful bonds with the people in our families, in our communities and throughout the world.

What are spiritual steps? /files/image/NextStep135blue.gif

Our mission at Calvary is “to lead people into a growing relationship with Jesus Christ.” But what does a “growing relationship” look like? It requires our taking some critical spiritual steps--to believe, connect, follow, serve, give, multiply and worship.

Calvary might not always address these steps all at the same time, the same pace or even the same order, but each is a vital step God wants us to take as we experience a growing relationship with Him.
