9th Annual Calvary Art Exhibit
"In the Beginning"
Palm Sunday through Easter Sunday
March 28-April 4, 2010
In addition to our Holy Week and Easter worship services, our 2010 art exhibit offers thanks and praise to God for His grace and love since "in the beginning." Featuring landscape photographer Ron Leonetti and 40+ local artists!
Friends and members of Calvary will display works of photography, painting, drawing, sculpture and calligraphy using such media as oil, acrylic, watercolor, ceramic, metal, glass, textiles and wood.
Exhibit hours
Palm Sunday, March 28 - 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Monday, March 29, thru Friday, April 2 - 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.
Saturday, April 3 - 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Easter Sunday, April 4 - 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
About Ron Leonetti
The driving force behind Ron Leonetti’s provocative imagery of wild and pristine places is--and always will be--to further the cause for the preservation and protection of endangered ecosystems. His photographs are frequently found in the various publications of The Nature Conservancy, as well as textbooks, calendars, periodicals and corporate marketing materials.
In addition, Leonetti’s critically acclaimed photography is widely exhibited and extensively represented in many private and corporate art collections worldwide. His work is featured at the Indiana Governor’s Mansion and was showcased in a 2½-year touring exhibit co-sponsored by the Indiana Chapter of The Nature Conservancy and the Indianapolis Museum of Art.
Leonetti is co-author of Unexpected Indiana: A Portfolio of Natural Landscapes and co-photographer of The Nature Conservancy's Guide to Indiana Preserves. His latest book, Of Woods and Water: A Photographic Journey Across Michigan, received two national publishing awards in 2009.
