Gifted to Serve

Do I have a spiritual gift?

You are a child of God, created for good works.  You have been grafted into His family through Jesus'blood.  His Holy Spirit is alive in you.  Every Christian has at least one spiritual gift:  "As each one has received a special gift, employ it in serving one another as good stewards of the manifold grace of God"  (1 Peter 4:10 NASB).

What is a spiritual gift?

A spiritual gift is a special ability given by the Holy Spirit and distributed to each believer according to God's design and grace for the common good of the Body of Christ.  Spiritual gifts include teaching, administration, helping, mercy, encouragement, leadership and many others: "There are different kinds of gifts, but the same Spirit.  There are different kinds of service, but the same Lord.  There are different kinds of working, but the same God works all of them in all people" (1 Corinthians 12:4-6)

When you are living for Christ in the right place at the right time for the right reason, your faithfulness and fruitfulness will be overflowing!  You will be filled with joy, and God will be glorified!  You will be in God's holy anoited "zone!"

Gain more insight on your God-given calling and how to start fulfilling it now!  Join us for one or both of the following courses below.  (More class times/dates will be offered in the Spring.)

Ignite Your Prayer Life!

Saturday, Sept 29

9:00 a.m. - 11:30 a.m., N205

No Cost

Prayer is an important part of every Christian's life.  Yet, many of us question whether our prayers are as effective as they could be.  Many of us desire to have a prayer life that is powerful, dynamic and life-changing.  Often times we are not sure how we should pray and we wonder if our prayers are even heard by God.

We may find ourselves asking:  How should we approach prayer?  How can my prayer life be more effective?  How can my spouse and grow deeper in our prayer life together?  How should we be praying for our children?  How to teach children and grandchildren to pray?  How can I overcome my fear of praying out loud for family and friends?

If any of those questions have been stirring in your heart, plan to attend this workshop.  The workshop will be fun and lively, with a blend of Biblical teaching and hands-on learning.  You will receive tools to "reignite" your prayer life!

For more information, contact Pastor Carol Skjegstad via email or 763.231.2983
