Health and Caring Ministry
Calvary's Health and Caring Ministry...
Reclaims the mission of Christ to preach the kingdom of God and to heal. (Luke 9:2)
Recognizes that the church community is to proclaim God's desire that we have abundant life. (John 10:10)
Reaffirms and supports the journey toward wholeness in the relationship of body, mind and spirit.
Parish Nursing
Parish nursing is a melding of nursing and ministry. The parish nurse ministers to individuals and families, using health education and spiritual maturity to promote wellness of body, mind and spirit. Annette Langdon, RN, MA, Parish Nurse and Director of Health & Caring Ministries has a Masters in Pastoral Theology and Ministry from Luther Seminary and many years of experience. She can be reached at 763.231.2955, or eMail alangdon@calvary.org.
Calvary is blessed with several Parish Nurses, serving with Annette in areas of health education, Care Team Ministry and Health Ministry.

Health Ministry
The Calvary Health Ministry promotes the well-being of individuals and families. When people are well, they are better able to fulfill God's calling for their lives. It is important to remember that wellness is not dependent on the absence of pain or illness.
Activities of the Health Ministry include blood pressure screening, blood drives, health education, and information on advanced directives.
Support Groups
"Come to me, all you that are weary and are carrying heavy burdens, and I will give you rest."
—Matthew 11:28
There are times in each of our lives when we have difficulty coping with events or experiences. The understanding of others who walk in similar shoes can be helpful and the sharing of knowledge is encouraging. We invite you to participate in any of these groups according to your need. It is our prayer that you will receive the support you need to have hope and faith in a God who does indeed care for you.
All groups meet at Calvary and are free of charge unless noted differently. For more information on any group, contact Annette Langdon, R.N., Parish Nurse, at 763.231.2955, or alangdon@calvary.org.
