Donate funds
Donations are still being accepted...
At 24 cents a meal--approximately $52 per volunteer--we need to raise $180,000 to cover the cost of the meals we pack! To donate ...
* Make a donation online using our online giving form. Enter the amount of your donation in the form's "Other" field, then type "Feed Haiti 2012" in the space below that.
* Submit a check made payable to "Calvary Lutheran Church" and note "Feed Haiti 2012" in the memo line.
If your employer or another organization will match your donation but does not honor donations made to churches, make your check payable to "Feed My Starving Children" and note "Account #1202-137" in the memo line.
Send your check to Feed Haiti 2012, Calvary Lutheran Church, 7520 Golden Valley Road, Golden Valley, MN 55427.
* Fill an M&Ms container with quarters. Stop by the Atrium beginning Sunday, Jan. 8, to buy a tube of M&Ms for $1. After enjoying your tasty treat, fill the tube with quarters ($14) and return to Calvary during Feed Haiti 2012.
* Contribute through your weekly offering by noting "Feed Haiti 2012" on your offering envelope or check's memo line.
Consider other creative ways to raise your donation!
Sponsorships
If you are an organizational or business leader--or know someone who is--consider our special sponsorship opportunities. Not only can your organization enjoy a special team-building experience through packing meals at Feed Haiti 2012, but there are also three sponsorship packages available...
- Individual Sponsorship - It’s estimated that a volunteer packs about $52 worth of meals during a shift. Organizations can match the number of volunteers they bring to the event with a donation to cover the amount of food their individual volunteers pack.
- Table Sponsorship - It’s estimated that a group of 13--comprising a whole packing “pod” at Feed Haiti--packs about $676 worth of meals during a shift. When organizations choose the Table Sponsorship option, they are acknowledged through an announcement at the event and presented with a certificate of support.
- Session Sponsorship - Take the Table Sponsorship option times 10 and you have a Session Sponsorship. Organizations that contribute $6,760 to sponsor an entire volunteer shift receive not only the perks of Table Sponsorship, but also visual promotion throughout the entire seven days of Feed Haiti 2012.
To learn more about and/or to sign up for sponsorship, contact Eric Smith by e-mail or at 612.226.4735.
About Feed My Starving Children
Feed My Starving Children (FMSC) is a Christian nonprofit hunger relief organization founded in 1987.
Committed to "feeding God's starving children hungry in body and spirit," FMSC operates five permanent packing sites (Coon Rapids, Chanhassen, Eagan, Minn.; Aurora, Schaumburg, Ill.), as well as MobilePack events ... like Calvary's!
FMSC's MannaPack Rice meals provide the key nutrients a starving child needs to survive and thrive, and are distributed through various community settings: orphanages, schools, clinics, refugee camps and nutrition programs. Children in more than 60 countries receive FMSC food.
It's all possible through thousands of volunteers and donors! Volunteers pack 100 percent of the food, with each meal costing only 24 cents to produce. With 94 percent of total FMSC donations going directly to its feeding program, donations of all amounts go a long way in fighting hunger!
